The detail of how children's skills and knowledge are developed in different subject areas is outlined in the theme maps and Weaving Knowledge and Skills documents for each term. For more information about any area of learning, visit the dedicated subject curriculum pages or speak to your child's teacher.
At the start of the Autumn Term our theme is Time Travellers. Through their studies the children will become time travellers to explore changes in British history from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. They will continue on their journey to consider the impact of the Roman Empire on Britain as well as other invaders in the Anglo Saxons, Scots and Vikings. Exciting quality texts will drive the children's learning and promote engaging learning opportunities across the curriculum.
During the second half of the Autumn term our theme is Winter Wonderland. We will begin by exploring a range of festivals and commemorations marked at this time of year before going on a snowy adventure in our key text. Please see the curriculum map for details of how we link learning across the curriculum together.
