On Thursday evening the PTA’s A.G.M. was held. This is the formal beginning of a new year of activity from our valuable and active PTA. I would like to welcome Corrinne Sorensen as the new Chair and express thanks also to all those who stepped up to take on roles in the committee.
The PTA has been united in offering high quality events to help strengthen our school community. Although this provides a source of income for the school, I have been impressed by the thought given to ensure as many children and their families benefit. The huge financial gain of course is a much appreciated consequence and the funds this year have once again contributed to enhance the learning and experience of our children, through Trips and visits, resources and special events.
The PTA will meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month (or pushed on if this falls in holiday time) in the Crown pub at 7:30pm. Everyone is always welcome! If you cannot commit to attend the meetings this does not exclude you from the work of the PTA. At various points in the year there will be request for help in preparation for (and at) events so keep your eyes open for an opportunity which suits you.
