Medicines in school

Administering medicines in school

We are aware many pupils are required to keep prescribed medication in school, including epipens and asthma inhalers. To make this simpler to administer you can complete the Parental Agreement Form electronically by using the link below.

Please complete this form before your child’s first day in school and hand the medication (clearly named in a bag, having checked the expiry date) to the School Office on their first journey into school. This will be checked against the details on your submitted form before being labelled and stored in the appropriate location(s).

Please note we can only administer prescribed medications in school which require taking more than 3 times per day. If there are any issues with your form or the medication sent in, we will get in touch with you. Thank you.

ALLERGY ADVICE

To support the growing number of pupils in school with severe allergies, we ask parents and carers preparing packed lunches to avoid sending in nut-containing products (eg snacks containing nuts or peanut butter in sandwiches) and egg (eg a boiled egg as a snack or egg in sandwiches). Thank you for your support with this.
